Pole vaulting comes to the Geneva quays on September 21 and 22 | City of Geneva

After a summer of sport and numerous medals for the Swiss delegation at the Olympic and Paralympic Games in athletics is once again in the spotlight at the end of the lake in a dream setting and with world-class athletes.

The presence of the Swiss pole vaulter will be noted in particular. Angelica Moserfourth at the 2024 Paris Olympics and European champion in Rome in 2024. She will be involved in Saturday’s competition, as will the Englishwoman Holly Bradshaw.

In long jump, Flower Jong (Netherlands) double gold medalist at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games with the Olympic long jump record of 6.53 m will be present on the quays.

Saturday September 21, 2024, 6 p.m.-10 p.m.: Meeting Golden Fly Series Geneva

  • Pole vault competition: come and admire the best athletes in this impressive discipline where precision and technique combine with physical power to reach dizzying heights.
  • Long jump competition: the greatest long jump specialists will compete in front of a hopefully large audience (free entry). An event that aims to be inclusive with able-bodied and disabled athletes.

Sunday September 22, 2024, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.: Introduction to athletics open to the public from 7 years old

A rich and varied program of activities, initiations and demonstrations presented by local and international professional athletes with the collaboration of the Geneva Athletics Association.

11am – 12pm: Long jump
12h – 13h: Sprint
1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.: Pole vault demonstration
1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.: Shot Put
2 p.m. – 3 p.m.: Long jump
