Tears. Of joy, of spite, of pleasure. Yours too, for sure, if you watch these last two episodes ofAt the heart of the Games broadcast this Tuesday at 9:05 p.m. on France 2.
The first two, scheduled before the Paris Olympic and Paralympic interlude, had a limited audience. 1.6 million viewers followed these snapshots of the behind-the-scenes preparations for the Olympic Games, from the Flame’s route to the construction of the event sites, gleaned by the documentary brothers Jules and Gédéon Naudet. France 2 ranked behind TF1, M6 and France 3. At the foot of the podium, a chocolate medal.
France was not yet fully convinced by the upcoming sporting event, the fervour was latent. And then, D-Day arrived and, with it, an enthusiasm that grew, from an anthology opening ceremony to sporting performances that thrilled the French in stadiums, fan zones and living rooms in cities and the countryside.
A magical period that ended on Sunday with the closing ceremony of the Paralympics. It was just a few hours ago but nostalgia is(…) - 20minutes
