According to L’Équipe, Marco Verratti’s entourage has issued a counter-proposal to Al-Ahli. The Saudi club has paused discussions with the midfielder of PSG, also courted by Atlético de Madrid or even Galatasaray.

The Parisian club is pushing its midfielder towards the exit and preferred to remove it from the group for the first two days of Ligue 1 while waiting to see the question of its future settled. The track leading to Al-Ahli however takes the lead in the wing. According to the indiscretions of L’Équipe, the Saudi club, which had reached an agreement with the main interested party on the basis of a future contract, put negotiations with Marco Verratti on hold after receiving a counter-proposal from the entourage of the player. Al-Hilal, who has already convinced Neymar, could therefore have free rein on this file.
Galatasaray and Atlético take the temperature
The number 6 of PSG also keeps a certain rating in Europe.
