The draw for the groups for the final phase of the African Cup of Nations (December 21, 2025-January 18, 2026) takes place this Monday, January 27 from 7 p.m. at the Mohamed V theater in Rabat.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced the presence of several former African players such as the Egyptian Essam El Hadary, the Cameroonian Patrick Mboma, the Tunisian Aymen Mathlouthi, the Malian Momo Sissoko and the Ivorian Gervinho
The 24 qualified teams were divided into four hats:
Hat 1: Morocco (14th, organizing country), Senegal (17th), Egypt (33rd), Algeria (37th), Nigeria (44th), Ivory Coast (46th, defending champion).
Hat 2: Cameroon (49th), Mali (51st), Tunisia (52nd), South Africa (57th), DR Congo (61st), Burkina Faso (66th).
-Hat 3: Gabon (84th), Angola (85th), Zambia (87th), Uganda (88th), Equatorial Guinea (93rd), Benin (94th).
Hat 4: Mozambique (96th), Comoros (103rd), Tanzania (106th), Sudan (113th), Zimbabwe (121st), Botswana (167th).
