The SFC leaves bitter from Yverdon with a 0-0 draw, letting two points spinned in front of an affordable opponent. In lack of creativity and offensive cutting edges, the garnet did not break the Vaudois defensive block. This disappointing result highlights their difficulties against folded teams.
What to remember
Servette leaves from Yverdon with a point after a poor match in frank occasions. Faced with a well -organized Yverdon team, the garnet did not find the fault and chain a second consecutive draw in the championship.
The offensive sector, out of inspiration, remains a priority for Thomas Häberli and his staff, which will quickly have to find solutions.
The tenure of Théo Magnin is one of the rare reasons for satisfaction of this match. Aligned from the outset, the young defender knew how to answer present despite the pressure, being applied and serene in his interventions.
He demonstrated that he could be a reliable alternative in defensive rotation. His commitment and solidity are to be emphasized in a team which, on the whole, has lacked envy and biting.
Severin’s injury, of which we hope for a quick return, is a hard blow for a team already defensively weakened. If Kevin Adams has worked seriously, a prolonged absence of Severin could weigh heavily in the coming weeks.
This glaring lack of creativity and combativeness could weigh heavily in the rest of the championship. If this negative dynamic persists, garnet may see their ambitions of a highly compromised top of the table.
It becomes imperative for the staff to re -mobilize the group and find a positive dynamic under penalty of being distanced by direct competitors.
The thread of the match
From the start, Yverdon imposes its rhythm and puts the SFC under pressure with remarkable intensity. In the 9th minute, Marley Aké puts the Servettienne defense in difficulty by causing a slight clash in the surface.
In the 21st minute, he tried his luck with a shot that largely misses the cages of Mall, still illustrating the will of the Vaudois to take the ascendant. Servette, in lack of biting, struggles to enter her match, displaying a disturbing passivity.
The hard blow occurs in the 15th minute: an unhappy shock between Severin and Tsunemoto forces the first to leave the lawn. Kevin Adams comes into play and stabilizes the rearguard garnet with confidence.
Despite these turbulence, Servette tries to react through Dereck Kutesa, a foray of which creates a first fear in the opposing defense.
But the defensive organization well in place of Yverdon Force Stevanović to descend very low to build the game.
Before the break, the last shot from the first period lands without difficulty in the gloves of Mall, sealing a first act without brilliance or real frank opportunity.
Back from the locker room, Yverdon continues on his momentum and accentuates his offensive pressure. A moment of floating in the 57th minute could have cost the garnet: Kasim Adams lacks attention, but Mall saves the implementation of a decisive intervention.
The Vaudois still strengthen their defense, preventing Servette from developing her game. The only Geneva lightening intervenes in the 60th minute, with an unpacked shot from Mazikou.
Frustration rises on the garnet side, especially after an obvious fault on Kutesa in the 62nd minute, completely ignored by the referee.
Häberli reacts by making several changes in the 65th minute, with the entries of Guillemenot and Ouattara, followed by Cespedes on the Yverdon side a few minutes later.
-In the last quarter of an hour, the Servettians push and multiply the assaults, forcing Bernardini to illustrate by several decisive judgments. At this point, Yverdon plays the watch and seeks to preserve the draw.
Their goalkeeper takes all his time on each recovery, and the game interruptions are multiplying, testing the patience of the Grenats players.
The final minutes are breathless. Mazikou obliges the Vaudois porter to a reflex parade. The match ends on a blank score in the 97th minute, with a yellow card for Guillemenot, who came to close a frustrating evening for Servette FC.
The turn of the match
The turning point of the match could have occurred in the 85th minute, when the Servettians, after numerous unsuccessful attempts, finally managed to unravel the defensive Bloc Yverdon.
A rapid sequence initiated by Stevanović allowed Guillemenot to find himself in the ideal position in the surface, but his strike was deflected in extremis by Bernardini, imperial on his line.
In the last minutes, the Servettians tried everything, multiplying the offensives and pushing the Vaudois in their last entrenchments.
A final opportunity arose in additional time, with a powerful Mazikou shot, but once again, the opposing goalkeeper was insurmountable.
In the end, the defensive maneuvers and the management of the time of the Yverdonnois have proven to be paid, frustrating a servette in lack of realism and in the inability to concretize its late domination.
The match player
Théo Magnin, tenured for this match, distinguished himself by his versatility and his unfailing commitment throughout the game.
Solid in defense, he was able to be intractable in duels and effective in his reminders, allowing Servette to build offensive actions from the rear.

Always available, he did not hesitate to go up to offer solutions, creating discrepancies and supporting his teammates in the offensive phases.
Its impact in the game was felt by its ability to balance the team, both in recovery and in front projection. A complete service which confirms its importance in the garnet workforce.
