“My boy” tonight on TV: why (re) see this singular thriller on W9?

Filming secrets, anecdotes: did you know?

• It is the 5th feature film of Christian Carion.
• In the press kit, the director unveiled his discussion with his main actor, Guillaume Canetbefore writing the film with his coscenarist Laure Irrmann Carion : “'Guillaume, I want to go to the end of an idea that is very simple. Your character is an absent man, always abroad. He returns and learns things he was unaware. Can you imagine a situation where you, actor, do you discover as soon as possible? That I don't give you a scenario? Would you be ready to take this risk? '

• The filming lasted 6 days on the Vercors plateau (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes), between Autrans-Méaudre et Correction-in-Vercors.
• The Original music was composed by Laurent Perez del Mar.
• The film received the Jacques Deray 2018 Prize from the Lumière Institutewhich rewards each year a police feature film.
• Is there a My boy 2 ? No, but Christian Carion turned, in 2020, a remake with James McAvoy et Claire Foy under the title My Son.
