Saturday January 25 in the afternoon, in a supermarket in Apt, in Vaucluse, a customer was slightly injured with a knife. The author, who has a psychological history, was restrained by a security guard and is in police custody. The national anti-terrorism prosecutor's office was contacted.
From the morning of Sunday January 26, the gendarmes ensured the security of a supermarket in Apt (Vaucluse) after the attack that occurred the day before. Customers are still shocked. It was 5:30 p.m. when a man attacked a customer with a knife and slightly injured his ear. He shouted “God is great”. The security guard was also injured and managed to disarm the individual. “I reviewed the security footage from yesterday and noticed it was a regular customer”testifies a shocked employee.
The profile of the attacker, 32 years old and of French nationality, is beginning to take shape. The National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation into attempted assassination in connection with a terrorist enterprise and terrorist criminal association with a view to crimes of personal injury. The vital prognosis of the two victims is not engaged.
