Forward Easton Cowan had an assist on the London Knights’ first goal against the North Bay Battalion on Thursday to extend his streak of consecutive games with at least one point to 62.
This is an unofficial CHL record as it was established over two seasons. The record belongs to Mario Lemieux, who blackened the score sheet in 61 consecutive games during the 1983-1984 season with the Voisins de Laval.
Cowan was instrumental in Oliver Bonk’s goal, which tied the game 1-1 at 5:11 of the first period.
The Knights ultimately scored four unanswered goals to win by a score of 4-1. Henry Brzustewicz, Sam Dickinson and Denver Barkley were the other scorers for London.
-The Toronto Maple Leafs prospect has collected at least one point in each of his first 26 games this season. He has 17 goals and 19 assists for a total of 36 points since the start of the season.
Cowan represented Canada at the World Juniors in 2024 and 2025. He obtained three points (1 goal and 2 assists) in five games with Team Canada Junior during the last edition of the tournament.
