Monte-Carlo Rally: Snow is coming!

Clearly, the weather at the Monte-Carlo Rally is always unpredictable. After a great 2024 edition under the sun, more difficult conditions are expected for the last days before the start of the 2025 vintage.

Rain is forecast from Thursday, before a lull on Friday, but showers could also wet the roads during the weekend. If the forecast temperatures remain mostly above 0°C, the conditions at Col de Turini are more uncertain.

Adrien Fourmaux blocked by snow

The Justice of the Peace at the Power Stage has been snowed in since the beginning of the week. Photos taken on site show roads whitewashed for several days and the expected melting seems to take longer than expected. Setting out on reconnaissance this Wednesday morning a few hours before Shakedown, Adrien Fourmaux found himself stuck behind other cars because of the large snowflakes which made the road more and more difficult.

The Frenchman, who will be behind the wheel of a Hyundai for the first time after his arrival from M-Sport, is not the least skilled on snow anyway, even though he scored his first podium in the WRC last year in Sweden. The start of Monte-Carlo will be given on Thursday at 6:05 p.m. during the first 19.01 km long special between Digne-les-Bains and Chaudon-Norante.
