Christopher Nkunku at Bayern Munich is far from done. Although there are discussions between the two clubs, they have been at a standstill for several days. Chelsea do not want to see their French player leave unless their valuation of at least £70 million (around €80 million) is reached. They should also have found a world-class replacement before allowing any transfer.

Bayern and two Premier League clubs have inquired about the player. Christopher Nkunku is known to be frustrated at not playing more regularly in the Premier League. Sky Germany reported that the former RB Leipzig player wants to move to Bayern and personal terms have already been agreed between the two parties.

Chelsea have effectively had two different starting XIs this season – one for the Championship and one for the European and cup competitions. Christopher Nkunku has scored an impressive 11 goals in 10 appearances in Europe and the Cup this season. But he has managed just two goals in 18 Premier League games, although only three of those appearances were starts. Enough to cause frustration for the French player who asked to leave.
