Radja Nainggolan has found a club and signs… in Lokeren! The 35-year-old midfielder, with an impressive career in the Italian Serie A and with the Red Devils, will strengthen the ranks of the second division club until the end of the season.
After weeks of negotiations, the deal was reached Tuesday evening. Radja Nainggolan will train with her new team for the first time in the near future.
The Antwerp native has played almost 400 matches in Serie A for top clubs such as AS Roma, Cagliari and Inter, and wore the Belgian national team jersey 30 times during the glory days of the Red Devils. His experience and leadership are deemed invaluable to a team currently battling relegation to the Challenger Pro League.
Lokeren-Temse is in fact only three points from the red zone, with fourteen matches still to be played.

Nainggolan’s arrival is a sign that Lokeren-Temse is doing everything possible to reverse the trend. Earlier this week, the club already signed promising Club NXT player Daniel Perez on loan. With these reinforcements, the club intends to accelerate in the coming weeks and collect points to remain in the professional world.
For Nainggolan, this transfer means a return to Belgian football, after playing for Antwerp. His time at the “Great Old” was crowned with sporting success, but also controversy. After leaving Antwerp and a brief stint at SPAL in Italy, he is now taking on a new challenge. At the end of 2024, he agreed to join a regional futsal team to improve his condition and have fun with friends.
