300 euros received for fixing a D3 match
Zwayer, a touchline referee at the time, had been involved in a corruption scandal mainly concerning his ex-colleague Robert Hoyzer, suspected of having influenced the results of several second and third division matches, and the German Cup. Notably a D3 meeting between Wuppertal and the Werder Bremen reserve, during which Zwayer accepted the deal, in exchange for 300 euros paid by the central referee.
