This Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain hosts Manchester City on the 7th day of the Champions League. Much more than just a first round match for Pep Guardiola, who described the meeting as “the final”.
A few minutes after Manchester City’s great success at Ipswich on Sunday in the Premier League (6-0), Pep Guardiola already had his head turned in Paris, and the shock of the 7th day of the Champions League against PSG. The Skyblues coach spoke about this much-awaited meeting. For Guardiola, it is simply a “final”.
“They played yesterday, we play today. We have to take a long journey. Now we will go back and prepare for this final in Paris. In fact, we have two finals (the last two Champions League matches). If we win both, we qualify. If we win one, there is a good chance too, but we still have to take points because we put ourselves in trouble alone,” explained Pep Guardiola.
