Carli Lloyd, two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup™ winner with the United States

It’s a wonderful sport, and I’m not being very objective in saying that America is probably the ideal place for the event. Over the next two summers, we will realize the benefits of the (FIFA) Club World Cup and (FIFA) World Cup, not only in America, but across the world. For me, it will be like the NFL or the Super Bowl. The (FIFA) World Cup in [20]26 will be worth a Super Bowl any day. It will just be amazing. FIFA always puts on amazing tournaments, and they’re going to do a phenomenal job over the next two summers as well.”

Sami Khedira (2014 FIFA World Cup winner) with Germany)

“I love the idea. I’m a fan because it’s the best competition, the biggest competition in the world. Personally, I’m a big fan of the United States. They know how to add entertainment, provide support, with the ambition to win together. That’s my point of view, the perfect match and the best players will be here. The best players, the best teams, the best coaches will be there, and it is an honor to play at the highest level of football. » Nothing is comparable. This is why it is a very good competition, the best there is. »

Javier Zanetti (vice-president of FC Internazionale Milano and former Argentina international)

“We are aware that it is a prestigious tournament. We attach a lot of importance to this trophy, and the team will be ready when the time comes. The trophy is impressive. Truly, it is magnificent. The winning captain will have difficulty lifting it because the object is imposing, but I think this tournament deserves such a trophy. I invite all our fans around the world to come and watch this FIFA Club World Cup, because it will be historic. »

Michael Ballack (former Bayern Munich and Germany midfielder)

“Hosting the FIFA Club World Cup here in America will not only be a test for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, but also a benchmark for future FIFA Club World Cups. For me, America will be the best host. Everyone should expect a very well organized tournament, with many cities and of course travel, but then we will be able to discover the country through football. »

“I’m jealous. I’m here tonight to find out how they’re going to do it. As a New Yorker, I’m thrilled this is happening on our turf. It’s wonderful for the fans here, it’s wonderful for local businesses, but also for the NBA. We are always open to new experiences. We are the second largest sport in the world after football. This community teaches us a lot, and I have lots of friends in the football world, so I’m here to support them.

Robbie Williams (FIFA Music Ambassador and President of Port Vale FC)

“I’m very, very happy, and the fact that FIFA organized this for me and my show this summer, it’s just wonderful and I’m looking forward to it. It is bound to be great entertainment, just like sports, such as football. It makes us forget our daily lives, allows us to escape, to alleviate our problems and worries.”

Phil Murphy (Governor of New Jersey)

“This is huge for New Jersey and New York City. We are a football mecca. We are one of the most cosmopolitan and international regions in the United States, if not the world. This will be a game changer, especially with the legacy the event will leave behind. I’m not just talking about the two tournaments, but what it will mean for the children who will then play on the new courts, could it change their lives? It’s a magnificent sport. With a simple ball, we will prove to the world that it is here, at ground zero, that football will prove itself in the coming years.

Jeff Berding (Co-PDG du FC Cincinnati)

“We are very proud to bring FIFA and all these amazing clubs to Cincinnati for a (FIFA) Club World Cup. I am very proud to be part of the FIFA family, the journey we have taken and the growth we have experienced in 10 years. It’s a unique opportunity to see the biggest clubs in the world, which we only see on television, playing in our country. And if you’re a football fan, if you’re a sports fan, know that the best is yet to come in the United States. The most beautiful stadium is in Cincinnati so we invite everyone to come. If you are a fan of world football, you must come and admire this superb stadium in Cincinnati, which will host some of the best clubs in the world. Take the trip. Come discover Cincinnati.
