A big fan of PSG, French star Victor Wembanyama arrives in Paris this Monday with the San Antonio Spurs to play two NBA matches and increase commercial activities. And PSG will be on the menu for the basketball player and his team.
Born and trained in France before flying to the United States in the fall of 2023 and becoming one of the biggest stars in the NBA, Victor Wembanyama loves football and was even a goalkeeper when he was younger. The San Antonio Spurs player is also a fan of PSG and notably went to the Parc des Princes in October 2022 to attend PSG's 1-0 victory against OM.
Two and a half years later, Wemby will make his return to PSG in the middle of his crazy Parisian week with Spurs. The San Antonio basketball team arrives in the capital this Monday to play two NBA matches against the Indiana Pacers on Thursday January 23 and Saturday January 25 at the Accor Arena.
Wemby and Spurs to attend PSG/City
Wemby's personal program will be busy, but will include the Parc des Princes. PSG has partnered with the San Antonio Spurs franchise as part of its visit to France and the two entities will perform several games together next week. Spurs players have also been invited by PSG to attend next Wednesday's Champions League match against Manchester City.
The Parisians will therefore have significant support against the Skyblues and it would not be surprising either to see certain PSG players attend Spurs' first NBA match next Thursday (they will not be able to attend the second which will be played only a few hours before PSG/Reims on Saturday January 25).
-PSG to launch collection with Spurs
In January 2024, during the previous NBA Paris Games, Kylian Mbappé, Ethan Mbappé, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Keylor Navas, Marco Asensio, Manuel Ugarte and even Nordi Mukiele attended the match between Cleveland and Brooklyn. The link between PSG and the NBA also exists thanks to the partnership with Jordan for several years.
PSG also announced this Friday the launch of exclusive products in collaboration with Spurs. A limited edition collection will be available exclusively from January 21 to January 26 and will be sold in the Paris Saint-Germain Megastore at 92 avenue des Champs-Élysées (Paris 75008) as well as in a Pop-up Store located at 14 rue Claude Farrère (Paris 75016).
