Islam Slimani experienced his first minutes of play with KVC Westerlo this Sunday, during the match against Antwerp, counting for the 22nd day of the Jupiler Pro League.
The Algerian striker, coming on in the 89th minute, wore number 19, marking the start of his Belgian adventure after wearing number 20 at CR Belouizdad.
Despite the Campinois’ efforts, Westerlo lost 3-2, a cruel setback since Antwerp’s winning goal came in the 96th minute, following a penalty from Mahamadou Doumbia.
