Aged 77, the businessman was first elected in 2000 to the presidency of the “Galactics”, who won 2 national titles (2001, 2003) and a Champions League (2002), before resigning in 2006. Since his return in 2009, he has been re-elected as head of the Madrid club without interruption and without opposition (2013, 2017, 2021 and 2025).
