Jonas Hasler continues to show great things in slopestyle. The 18-year-old from Thurgau achieved a career best result by finishing 5th in the Laax event on Saturday with two solid performances. His second run even earned him 4th place in the round with 82.20 points, ultimately placing him ahead of Olympic vice-champion Su Yiming. After his 6th place in Silvaplana last winter, he signed his second top 10 among the snowboarding elite.
The Canadian Cameron Spalding scored his second victory after Cardrona at the start of the season, ahead of the American Redmond Gerard and the German Noah Vicktor, on the box for the first time.
Among the ladies, the young Briton Mia Brookes signed her first triumph in slopestyle in the World Cup, even though she is world champion in the discipline. New Zealander Zoi Sadowski Synnott finished 2nd ahead of Japanese Kokomo Murase. No Swiss were in the final.
