Charleroi was looking for a new attacker following the departure of Youssuf Sylla. It’s done, even if it will initially strengthen the U23s.
This is news that will please Charleroi supporters, who have been quite unhappy with the transfer window so far. After the departure of Youssuf Sylla, the Zebras were looking for a new striker, and have now found him in the Jupiler Pro League.
Alexandre Stanic (20 years old) is indeed leaving Antwerp for Mambourg, the Great Old announced this Wednesday. He reached the end of his contract in January, and was therefore released by the Antwerp club where he only played for 6 months, having signed last summer from Mechelen.
Stanic is a Belgian-Serbian striker born in Brussels, and trained at RSC Anderlecht from the age of 6 to 10. He then played through the youth teams of Lokeren, Mechelen and even Pisa, Italy.
-A very tall scorer (1m98!), Alexandre Stanic is a Belgian U18 international and stood out especially with the young people of Mechelen, scoring 23 goals in 54 matches. This season, he was only able to play once with Antwerp, against Union, and was a regular starter in D1 VV with the U23s.
Sporting Charleroi therefore attracts an attacker who does not necessarily seem ready for the A team, but who will first have to cut his teeth in D1 ACFF with the Zébras Elite (he has only scored one goal this season in 10 matches of D1 VV).
