The accumulation of losses is seriously starting to bother Chicago Blackhawks forward Connor Bedard.

His teammates lost for a ninth time in their last 11 games, Monday night against the Calgary Flames (5 to 2), and the team’s young star did not hesitate to express his frustration after the match.

“We are competitive athletes and we take a lot of pride in our games, in our group as a team and in our fans. It’s hard,” he explained in a post-match press briefing.

Against Calgary, the 19-year-old collected his 100th career point in just 112 games. No one has reached this mark this quickly since Sidney Crosby during the 2005-2006 season. However, he did not want to dwell on this feat of arms.

“We lost a lot of games,” continued Bedard. It weighs on us. We are just trying to find a solution, to improve every day. But it’s hard.”

Clearly, the Blackhawks haven’t shown much progress since the start of their rebuild, and the selection of Bedard first overall in the 2023 draft.

The Illinois team is 32nd and last in the overall National Hockey League standings with a record of 14-28-2. This season, Bedard has 12 goals and 27 assists for 39 points in 44 games.
