The Chelsea manager makes a bold comparison between his striker Nicolas Jackson and Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah.

Enzo Maresca has spoken out about Jackson being silent in goal in Chelsea’s last four games.

« Il [Jackson] scored a lot of goals at the start of the season, now there are games where he doesn’t score anymore. We are completely satisfied, we do not judge Nicolas based on his goals but on different types of things”Maresca said according to Goal.

Jackson at Salah’s table

Jackson has scored 9 goals in 19 Premier League games this season. In comparison, Salah has scored 18, including 5 penalties in 19 appearances.

The Blues coach believes the Senegalese striker would be at the same table as Salah if he took the penalties, with that responsibility being given to Cole Palmer.

« Last year he scored 14, 15 goals in the league without penalties – Haaland, Salah, Palmer take penalties. If you score 14 or 15 goals in the Premier League and add in penalties, you have a striker who has scored 20 goals. »

“This year, he scored 9 or 10, with penalties, that’s 13, 14. He’s doing well. Most of the nine shooters take penalties, so we are completely satisfied. It’s certain that he will score goals. In all the games where he didn’t score, he had good chances, but sometimes you don’t score. »
