Luciano Benavides was declared the winner of stage 8 of the 2025 Dakar Rally. The driver was credited for the time he spent helping Pablo Quintanilla during the stage.

The Chilean Monster Energy Honda rider suffered a heavy fall, and the Red Bull KTM rider stopped to help him, as did Adrien van Beveren (Monster Energy Honda). The time they lost providing assistance was returned to both pilots.

As a result, Benavides was declared the stage winner with a lead of 2m08s over van Beveren, while Tosha Schareina (Monster Energy Honda) fell to third place, finishing 2m14s behind.

In the general classification, van Beveren maintains the third place he occupied before the stage, while Benavides climbs to fifth place. There are no changes among the top two, with Daniel Sanders (Red Bull KTM) maintaining a lead of 11m03s over Schareina.
