Hassan Wasswa, Mrisho Ngasa and Macdonald Mariga were appointed by the Pan-African body to host the draw ceremony for the eighth edition of the African Nations Championship (CHAN), which will take place from February 1 to 28 2025.

“Hassan Wasswa, Mrisho Ngasa and McDonald Mariga will be the three legends responsible for making the draw for the eighth edition of the competition, which will take place from February 1 to 28, 2025,” can we read in a CAF press release.

The three former internationals come from the organizing countries of the next CHAN, planned for Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. “They have greatly contributed to raising the level of African football and left their mark on the game in their respective countries,” underlines the African football body in its press release.

The draw will take place on Wednesday, January 15 at the Kenyatta International Conference Center in Nairobi, Kenya, at 6 p.m. (Moroccan time).

As a reminder, Morocco will be represented by the national junior team (born from the year 2000) in this competition reserved for local players.
