Léo PLANTIN (21 years old) joins Montpellier Handball to bring his enthusiasm and commitment. A promising left winger trained in Nancy, he is ready to take on the challenges of the highest level. He has already been able to prove it in the past in 4 seasons of Liquy Moly Starligue and Champions League under the colors of Paris-Saint-Germain.
The Spaniard David BALAGUER (33 years old), European champion with Spain, triple champion of Spain, double champion of France, elected best right winger in the 2018 Champions League won by the MHB, has a solid track record. Having played for FC Barcelona, HBC Nantes and PSG, he will bring all his experience and talent to the right wing.
Elected to the standard team of the Liquy Moly Starligue the previous season, Benjamin RICHERT is known for his efficiency in front of goal and his consistency on his right wing. He holds the record for the number of goals scored in a single match, in the entire history of the championship (19 in February 2024). His performances opened the doors to preparing for the World Cup with the Blues in January. With solid experience in the elite at the age of 26, he joined the MHB with the desire to confirm in a European club.
Silver medalist at the 2021 World Cup, champion of Portugal, finalist in the last Champions League, Jack THURIN has already distinguished himself on the national and European stages. The Swedish international passed through FC Porto before joining Aalborg in Denmark. He is currently the Danish club’s top scorer in the Champions League. At 25, with a formidable shot and good reading of the game, he will bring his explosiveness and creativity to the right-back position.
These players, combining youth, experience and talent, enrich an already competitive squad, allowing Montpellier Handball to pursue its objectives on the French and European scenes.
