Boxing: Tyson Fury retires… take 4

Former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury announced his retirement from boxing on Monday in a video posted on social media.

Fury already ended his career in April 2022, after his victory over Dillian Whyte. However, the Briton returned to fighting in December of the same year.

“I’ll keep this short, I’d like to announce my retirement from boxing,” Fury said.

“I had a blast, I loved every minute of it and I’m going to be done with this.” Dick Turpin wore a mask. God bless everyone, see you on the other side. »

He also retired in 2013 and 2017 in social media posts, both statements proving short-lived.

Fury was beaten for a second time by Oleksandr Usyk in December, as he sought to reclaim his world heavyweight championship belts.

A fight against Anthony Joshua has long been mentioned for this year, with both fighters at the end of their careers.
