From January 14 to February 2, 32 teams come together in Croatia, Denmark and Norway for the 2025 World Handball Championship.
Tunisia will participate, one year after taking third place in the African Cup of Nations 2024. The teammates of Mehdi Harbaoui nevertheless failed to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and will therefore meet the best nations in the world for the first time since the 2023 World Cup. They finished in 25th place, as in the previous edition, thanks to their victory in the President’s Cup.
Tunisia is in group B of the 2025 Handball World Cup and plays against Italy, Denmark and Algeria in the preliminary round. She will have to finish in the top 3 of her group to qualify for the main round and dream of a new epic, 20 years after her semi-final in the 2005 edition.
