The Democratic Republic of Congo beat Niger with a score of 2 goals to 0 this Sunday, January 12 at the Martyrs stadium in Kinshasa, during a match of the 1st round/first leg of the qualifiers for the Morocco U17 World Cup 2025.

Olive Mangika and Mariam Kabunga were the only scorers of the match, scoring in the 31st minute and the 54th minute respectively to give victory to the country of Patrice-Emery Lumumba.

The return leg is scheduled for Sunday January 19, 2025 at the General Seyni Kountché stadium in Niamey.

In the event of qualification for the second round, the Democratic Republic of Congo will face Benin. It is scheduled for the weekend of March 7 to 9, 2025, for the first leg, and March 14 to 16, 2025, for the return leg.

The final phase of the U17 World Cup will take place from October 17 to November 8, 2025 in Morocco.
