According to information from Ekrem Konur, Antwerp would like to sign Mauricio Benitez, a 20-year-old midfielder playing for Boca Juniors.
The Antwerp club, however, is not the only team wanting to sign him. Indeed, Club Brugge would also be interested. The two Belgian clubs could therefore engage in a great battle in the days to come to obtain the signature of the Argentinian. The latter would also be open to the idea of continuing his progress in Belgium.
Antwerp, however, has an advantage in this matter. Indeed, Graet Old has a good relationship with Boca Juniors. The two clubs are already negotiating the transfer of Ayrton Costa to Argentina. This could facilitate discussions for Benitez’s arrival in Antwerp.

Benitez mainly plays with Boca Juniors’ B team, although he still has 11 appearances for the first team. Its value is estimated at 400,000 euros according to Transfermarkt.
