UBB signed the great operation of this third day of the Champions Cup. Damian Penaud’s teammates smashed the English of Exeter (17-69) and above all took first place in Pool A ahead of… Stade Toulousain. The Rouge et Noir indeed won laboriously in South Africa against the Sharks (8-20) and did not take an offensive bonus point. Dupont and his team are now in 2nd place in Pool A, one point behind the Girondins.
The teams from Pool B, notably La Rochelle and Clermont, will play this Sunday. In Pool C, Stade Français, author of a good performance against Northampton (45-35), moved back to 5th place in the standings since Castres crushed the South African Bulls this Saturday evening (49-10 ). Finally in Pool D, Racing 92 is sadly in last place after its defeat in Glasgow on Friday evening (29-19). Toulon will play this Sunday against Harlequins.
