Red Devils: “Domenico Tedesco throws in the towel”

Who still thinks that Domenico Tedesco will still be the coach of the Red Devils during the next international match against Ukraine? Certainly not many people. Even the Italian-German coach seems to no longer believe it.

Since Belgium’s defeat against Israel in the League of Nations, Tedesco’s fate seems sealed. For the moment, the former Leipzig coach is still the national coach, but that should not last much longer.

According to information from Nieuwsblad, it has been several weeks since Tedeco was seen in a Belgian stadium. The 39-year-old has understood, since his absence during the World Cup draw, that he is no longer really wanted.

More contact with players

He no longer visits internationals abroad and no longer has contact with locker room executives like Kévin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku: “It would be a bit strange of him to continue working as if nothing was. He doesn’t want to be taken for a clown.”

He works from home

Le Nieuwsblad concludes by indicating that Tedesco continues to follow the matches of all the Red Devils from his home with his staff. He also admits to having made mistakes, but still thinks he is the ideal man to coach Belgium.
