The Uruguayan, taken out on a stretcher on Wednesday evening against Liverpool in the League Cup (1-0), returned home, said his coach Ange Postecoglou.

The medical team remained around the Uruguayan for almost ten minutes before evacuating him on a stretcher.

Bentancur was already stretchered off during the first day of the English championship, in August at Leicester (1-1), after being injured in an aerial duel. He missed the next game before returning.
