Only the athletics track is submerged. The lawn which notably hosts FC Drouais matches has, it seems, resisted the overflow of the Blaise.
“The City services were responsive. We were forced to close the stadium, but, fortunately, the pitch was not affected,” explains Alain Guenzi, municipal councilor, City sports delegate.
In June 2018, the Jean-Bruck stadium and the athletics track were submerged by 80 cm of water, “this time, it’s light and so much the better” rejoices Alain Guenzi. Concerning the Sports Palace located a stone’s throw from the stadium, “it has not been impacted, except for a locker room, but everything is in order for sports practice.”
