At the beginning of December, Ligue 1 announced a change to the times of Sunday afternoon matches, moving from 5:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
The modifications are continuing at the start of the year, in consultation with the official broadcaster of the championship, DAZN. This time, it is the Saturday evening meeting which is slightly postponed from this 17th day. Thus the meeting between Stade Rennais FC and Olympique de Marseille will not start at 9:00 p.m. but at 9:05 p.m. A second change has been made, it concerns the meetings scheduled for Friday at 7:00 p.m. which are moved to 9:00 p.m. This will be the case for the meeting between AJ Auxerre and LOSC postponed yesterday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:05 p.m.
The Professional Football League (LFP) justified this decision to “allow better editorialization of pre-matches”.
