FC Barcelona finally obtained a precautionary measure from the Superior Sports Council allowing it to temporarily register its attacking midfielder.

This was explained by the deputy director of Diario As, Joaquín Maroto, in the show Onze on Esport3. Among the names cited by this newspaper are Gavi, Pedri, Pau Cubarsí, Marc Casadó, Lamine Yamal and Fermín López. According to him, they had the intention of not showing up for the call-ups by simulating physical problems or discomfort, so as not to be sanctioned by coach Luis de la Fuente.
