Oliver Kahn and Jacques-Henri Eyraud interested in a possible takeover of the Girondins de Bordeaux

After serving as executive president of the Munich club between 2021 and May 2023, Oliver Kahn began numerous trips in search of new footballing horizons in Saudi Arabia, the United States and India. He recently confided his desire to acquire shares in a club. “Investing in Football is different from investing in a screw manufacturer. Football is about culture, identity and community. If everything fits together, I can imagine it very well,” he declared in August in an interview with the German weekly Kicker. The former Mannschaft goalkeeper (86 caps between 1993 and 2006) twice faced the Girondins de Bordeaux in the UEFA Cup, playing in a round of 16 with Karlsruhe in 1994 and a final with Bayern in 1996.
