We were of course able to meet Guillaume de Mévius, who will aim for a second consecutive podium at the Dakar for his first participation at the wheel of the Mini Dacia Sandrider, Jérôme Martiny, the only Belgian biker on this 2025 edition, or even Oliver Imschoot who will have more moderate ambitions in the cockpit of the MD Optimus buggy that he will share with the Frenchman Hugues Moilet.

A total of thirteen Belgians are announced at the start of the 2025 Dakar. In addition to Mévius, Lurquin, Martiny and Imschoot, we will find Stefan Carmans on Revo + CSA in Auto, Jan Van der Vaet as mechanic for the Dutch De Groot and Hulsebosch on Iveco in truck, Tom Geuens as driver of the Overdrive assistance truck, the Monseu-Gotlib-Fraipont triplet on board the Dacia assistance truck, Dirk Van Rompuy and Christiaan Goris on Toyota HDJ80 in Classic as well as François Beguin navigator of Frenchman Jean-Pierre Valentini on Toyota HZJ in Classic.

Without forgetting the Overdrive Racing and G Rally Team teams which will fly the national colors, respectively in Auto and Challenger (T3).

The start of the Dakar 2025 will be given on January 3 with the 29km prologue against the clock, around Bisha. DH – Engines but also LN24 will provide extensive coverage of the event until the finish which will take place on January 17 at the end of the 12th stage.
