The Brest coach looks back on his team’s defeat in Paris on Saturday, during the fourth day of Ligue 1.

Eric Roy (Brest coach, after the 3-1 defeat against PSG ) : “Didier Roustan rocked my adolescence. I think about it. Football is sometimes a small thing… (…) The match? There are always lessons. But against the most difficult opponent in Ligue 1, this match came a little early, with players who were playing their first match, others who were not at their best physically. There was the desire to be active. The regret is conceding a goal early in the second half. We recovered the ball twice and lost it twice… And we gave away the third. This PSG is much stronger than last season on a collective level. We did some good things but against this kind of team, you have to be better and it was complicated. When you multiply your efforts to defend, what happened can happen… There are a few regrets, but we were beaten by a team much better than ours.

Ready for the C1? I already hope that Sturm Graz will not be as strong as PSG (laughs). It must be a playable match for us. If we do not have the ambition to win this match, I do not know which one we will have the ambition to win… This match will decide the rest for us in this great competition. PSG stronger? I had already felt it when watching their previous matches. Even without being 100% physically, they had more counter-pressing, density, but I also have the impression that they run more, the team plays together collectively, they have a lot of players who can play in different positions with quality. Afterwards, it is a team that will be dangerous, even in C1, for a lot of opponents… By being fairer, we could have put them in more difficulty…” (comments collected at a press conference)
