This tournament will be held from February 1 to 28, co-organized by Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda. A closed-door training camp is scheduled for early January at the Mohammed VI Football Center in Rabat, before a trip to Tanzania later in the month.

Walid Regragui, coach of the national A team, will have an interview with Tarik Sektioui upon his return from Europe. This meeting will make it possible to finalize the list of players selected for the CHAN and to put in place a suitable preparation program. The Royal Moroccan Football Federation FRMF imposed an eligibility condition: only players born in 2000 or later will be able to participate. An unexpected change compared to past editions.
This new age rule means that the Moroccan team will not be able to count on its players playing in the Gulf championships. Walid Regragui will return to Morocco after the end-of-year holidays to supervise the local team's program and attend the draw for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled for January 27 in Rabat.
Morocco has already won CHAN twice, in 2018 with Jamal Sellami and in 2021 with Houcine Ammouta. The local national team is actively preparing to try to win a third title in this competition.
