Egyptian Tarek Mostafa, coach of Egyptian club Bank Al Ahly, confirmed that he received a call from Raja Casablanca officials to lead the team, succeeding Portuguese Ricardo Sá Pinto, who left his post last week.

In an exclusive statement to “Le Site Info”, Mostafa confirmed the information regarding making contact with Raja, while specifying that he is currently under contract with Bank Al Ahly and that as a professional coach, he respects this commitment.

The Egyptian coach has already worked for several years in the Moroccan championship, first as an assistant then as head coach of DHJ (Difaâ Hassani El-Jadidi), before leading Chabab de Mohammédia and Rapid Oued Zem, obtaining results satisfactory overall.

The name of Tarek Mostafa was mentioned several times at Wydad Casablanca under the presidencies of Saïd Naciri and Abdelmajid Bernaki. Some Egyptian television channels confirmed yesterday that there were negotiations between him and Raja.

Hafid Abdesadek will continue to temporarily lead Raja in Wednesday's match against Difaâ Hassani El-Jadidi and could continue his role as interim coach until next Sunday's match against Berkane Renaissance.
