Thanks to an immense Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool Reds won, 6-3, on the Tottenham pitch this Sunday, at the end of the 17th day of the Premier League.
Liverpool made a new show of strength by inflicting six goals on Tottenham away (6-3) during the 17th day of the English championship, with a double and two assists from Mohamed Salah.
The Reds took advantage of Chelsea's unexpected draw at Everton (0-0) to consolidate their first place, with four points ahead and one more match to play.
Mohamed Salah is now alone at the top of the scorers' rankings with 15 goals, ahead of Erling Haaland (13). Arne Slot's team delivered one of their most impressive performances of the season, leaving only crumbs to their opponent.
Really like the match
Luiz Diaz (23rd) and Alexis MacAllister (36th) gave their team a logical lead, before James Maddison reduced the score as the break approached (41st). Dominik Szoboszlai (45th + 1) once again killed the suspense, before Salah disgusted the Spurs (54th, 61st), who had already conceded four goals in the same place against Chelsea two weeks ago (3-4).
Dejan Kulusevksi (72nd) and Dominic Solanke (83rd) took advantage of a new relative relaxation from the Reds to give some hope to their supporters, before Luiz Diaz also added his double (85th). With two additional matches to play against Leicester and West Ham, Liverpool are almost assured of finishing the year at the top of the English championship, as they already are in the Champions League.
