Frankfurt lost 1-3 against Mainz. A real day off for Eintracht.
Times are tough forEintracht Francfort. Arthur Theate's team today went a sixth match without a win. And it's not even the score (1-3 against Mainz) that worries you the most.
Today, Eintracht probably delivered their most nightmarish match of the season. Established in goal in the absence of Kevin Trapp, who was ill, the Brazilian Kaua Santos went through real hell.
A defense in panic
After a quarter of an hour, the goalkeeper threw it back at the feet of a partner under pressure and then fumbled on the ball returned to the bell, thus scoring against his side (0-1).
Frankfurt then also received a boost, the exclusion of Nadiem Amiri allowing them to play eleven against ten for 70 minutes. But that wasn't enough. Mainz made the break a few moments later, with a shot that was not necessarily the most unstoppable.
And that's not all: at the hour mark, the score went to 0-3 on a festival of errors brought on by the feverishness of Kaua Santos. In the front row to see the damage, Arthur Theate appeared terribly frustrated. Dino Toppmoller's men are still third in the Bundesliga but now very far from Bayern and Bayer, seeing the teams at the foot of the podium getting dangerously close.
