The 9th day of Senegalese Ligue 1 began this Saturday with three thrilling matches. Wally Daan continues to surprise by dominating Guédiawaye FC, Sonacos snatched a draw against AJEL, and Jamono Fatick won a valuable victory against Casa Sports.
Promoted this season, Wally Daan confirmed his excellent start to the campaign by winning 1-0 against Guédiawaye FC at the Lat Dior stadium in Thiès. Lamine Diop scored the only goal of the match, giving the Thiés club its first home victory this season.
With 16 points (4 wins, 4 draws, 1 loss), Wally Daan remains runner-up in the standings, one unit behind US Gorée (17 points), which will face Jaraaf (12 points) this Monday, December 23.
At the Massène Sène stadium, Sonacos obtained a spectacular draw (2-2) against AJEL de Rufisque. This result allows Sonacos to temporarily climb to 4th place with 13 points (+2).
AJEL, 8th with 10 points, narrowly missed its second victory in Ligue 1. The Rufisquois club hopes to make up for it when it travels to HLM Dakar for the next day.
Jamono Fatick buys Casa Sports
