Even if the Rocket is still well in the saddle, in second position in the North section of the American Hockey League (AHL), things are not going as well as at the start of the season.

In fact, Pascal Vincent’s men have lost eight of their last 12 matches. And this sequence could be partly explained by the fuel shortage that several players are experiencing.

Logan Mailloux and Rafaël Harvey-Pinard have only accumulated three points since the start of this bad patch. Xavier Simoneau (four points) and Alex Barré-Boulet (six points) are also experiencing difficulties. As for Lucas Condotta, the captain, he has been cleared in his last nine outings.

Nevertheless, journalist Anthony Marcotte, who visited the show on Monday JiC on TVA Sports, did not seem too worried by the repeated defeats of Laval.

“I don’t have the impression that [le Rocket] necessarily plays bad hockey,” he explained. “I think it will recover fairly quickly.”

The good news is that the Rocket had an important victory on Sunday, winning 6-2 against the Islanders in Bridgeport. Florian Xhekaj was at the center of this victory, he who amassed three goals and two assists for five points.
