Anderlecht could have made life easier if they had doubled or even tripled the one-goal lead in the first half. The man who was involved in all the good moves was Ciske Amuzu. He gave the pre-assist for the 0-1, he gave a cross to Dolberg which should have led to the 0-2. And above all, he should have scored 0-2 when Dreyer threw it towards the Sint-Truiden goalkeeper, without a defender around.
Anderlecht does not understand Zanka’s exclusion: “How did the VAR not see that he touched the ball?”
With his speed, he could have pushed the ball past the goalkeeper and then put it in the back of the goal. But Amuzu never liked easy opportunities. However, in his very first match as a professional, exactly seven years ago, he scored the only goal of the match against Eupen. In the meantime, he has scored 28 goals and given 32 assists in 244 games. He was therefore decisive once in four matches. It’s too little, considering his qualities. And that’s why he still plays for Anderlecht and not in a major championship. If Anderlecht wants to go very far in the Europa League or become champion, it will need an Amuzu Premier League version.
