Following his tenure at Mercedes-AMG as an official driver, Maxime Martin officially knows his first team.

The former BMW M Motorsport resident will drive for Iron Lynx next season in the WEC. If the Belgian will discover the Mercedes-AMG GT3, this will also be the case for the Italian team which is moving from Lamborghini to Mercedes.

Iron Lynx has a remarkable history, and I have been teammates with Andrea Piccini in the past. It will be special to come back with him as team manager. I can’t wait to start in Qatar and try to win races! »

Maxime Martin and Andrea Piccini shared the seat of a BMW Z4 GT3 / Marc VDS Racing Team in 2013 with a second place at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring alongside Yelmer Buurman and Richard Göransson.

We have a friendly relationship, and we also had the chance to race together in 2013, finishing second at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. He is a very strong driver, extremely fast and particularly capable of mastering difficult conditions. The names of Maxime Martin’s teammates will be announced later. Claudio Schiavoni and Matteo Cressoni have each been announced in a Mercedes-AMG GT3.
