The Franco-Senegalese goalkeeper of Stade de Reims, Yehvann Diouf, announced that he would opt for the Senegal football selection.
The 24-year-old Franco-Senegalese goalkeeper expressed his availability to defend the colors of his country of origin, after having discussed at length with the coach of the Senegal Lions Pape Thiaw.
“I met Pape Thiaw, we spoke and I am available, whether I am number 1, 2 or 3, I am there, he just has to call me,” said Yehvann Diouf.
In a recent analysis, the newspaper L’Équipe highlighted the performances of Yehvann Diouf in French Ligue 1. The French daily, based on the figures of the Rémois goalkeeper, placed him among the best goalkeepers in the championship.
In the Senegal selection, the native of Montreuil will face strong competition if he is called up. Indeed, for his last list against Burundi in the CAN 2025 qualifiers, Pape Thiaw, recently confirmed at the head of the national football team, called on three goalkeepers: Edouard Mendy (Al Ahli), Seny Dieng (Middlesbrough FC) and Cheikh Lo Ndoye (Jaraaf).
