Stade de Reims resists AS Monaco. This Saturday evening, as part of the 15th day of Ligue 1, ASM conceded a draw on the Rémois lawn with a score of 0-0.
A zero result which does not do much business for the Principality club. The Monegasques were unable to take advantage of Olympique de Marseille's draw against Lille earlier in the day to take second position and put pressure on Paris Saint-Germain.
A draw which comes at the wrong time since the Monegasques host Paris Saint-Germain this Wednesday for the 16th day of the championship.
In the ranks of Stade de Reims, this draw is a good result. Luka Elsner's players are guaranteed to retain their 11th place at the end of the weekend.
A balanced match, big missed opportunities
In a rhythmic and lively match on both sides, Rémois and Monegasques may have regrets in this part. Both teams had clear opportunities to swing the match in their favor.
But between clumsiness and parades from the opposing goalkeepers, the two clubs were unable to break the opponent's barrier. The SDR therefore continues with a 4th match in a row without a victory (1 goal scored). The next meeting against AS Saint-Etienne on January 4 will be precious.
