Sadio Mané, majority shareholder of Bourges FC, arrived this Sunday evening in the Cher prefecture, where he is making a second stay. Twenty-five minutes after taking off from Le Bourget, his jet, in which some members of his family were also seated, landed at 9 p.m. on the runway of Bourges airport.
There, the Senegalese star footballer, who was still in Saudi Arabia the day before, was welcomed by the president of the club, Cheikh Sylla, his associates in the company SM Pro Bourges, Bacary Cissé, Pape Dieng. There was also part of the club’s women’s team there, recently qualified for the round of 16 of the Coupe de France. Or even Manolo, the loyal supporter, flanked by his Senegalese flag and his sound system.
A thank you for the welcome, a few photos and the boss of Bourges FC took off in the car. Starting this Monday, Sadio Mané will have a busy schedule.
Multiple meetings are on his program in Bourges. This Monday morning, he will come to attend the training of the National 2 team. Previously, he will have officially signed the contract of the new coach of the club’s flagship team, Romain Revelli, who replaced Walid Aïchour last week.
A busy schedule
“I am very happy. When you’re a football fan, meeting Sadio Mané is magical, smiles Romain Revelli. He is at the heart of the project, it’s a great symbol to see him in Bourges a few days after my arrival. It will be good to talk with him. We will talk about what he wants to do with his club; I will do everything to help him. It’s rare to see very high level players invest in clubs, initially with no return. I have great respect for that.”
Sadio Mané will also have the opportunity this week to congratulate the women’s team on their qualification for the round of 16 of the Coupe de France. He will also visit the young people of the club, as well as the employees and volunteers.
Training open to the public?
Other scheduled meetings: a meeting of the club’s board of directors, as well as company visits by some of its associates, Philippe Simonneau, Olivier Monin and Sébastien Pillard. He will also meet elected officials and will be, this Monday evening, the center of attention at the gala evening dedicated to the BFC’s partners. He will still dedicate time to his business in Bourges, with the company SM10 France.
For the general public, and fans of the player, training for the N2 team, in the presence of Sadio Mané, could be open to the public.
