Chiefs win 21-7 against Browns

Patrick Mahomes threw two touchdown passes before leaving the game with a left ankle injury in the fourth quarter Sunday, and the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Cleveland Browns 21-7.

Xavier Worthy scored a rushing touchdown, then JuJu Smith-Schuster and Noah Gray caught passes from Mahomes to give the Chiefs (13-1) a 21-0 lead in the first half.

Mahomes, who was injured following a tackle, connected with his receivers 19 times in 38 attempts for 159 yards. He was replaced by Carson Wentz for the final five minutes and 23 seconds.

The Browns (3-11) tried to provide good opposition to the Chiefs, but committed six turnovers. Jerome Ford offered a rare moment of celebration to the fans with a 62-yard run into the end zone.

Jameis Winston completed 16 of 25 passes for 146 yards. However, he was replaced by Dorian Thompson-Robinson after suffering a third interception.

Jerry Jeudy caught 11 balls for 108 yards, breaking the 1,000 mark for the entire season.

Nico Collins

Nico Collins caught two touchdown passes and the Houston Texans defense forced four turnovers, including two interceptions from Derek Stingley in the fourth quarter, to lead their team to a 20-12 victory over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

This is a second victory in a row for the Texans (9-5), who can secure first place in the Southern section of the American Association for a second consecutive year with a defeat of the Indianapolis Colts later, Sunday.

Collins scored a six-yard touchdown in the second quarter and his second reception for six yards in the end zone made it 20-6 in favor of the Texans.

Collins’ second touchdown was accomplished in large part thanks to a 35-yard run by Dare Ogunbowale earlier on the same offensive sequence, following a fake punt.

Tua Tagovailoa threw a seven-yard touchdown pass to Jonnu Smith with just over four minutes left in the third quarter, but the kicker missed, making it 20-12.

The Dolphins threatened with just over 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter, but Stingley jumped in front of Tyreek Hill to make the interception at the Texans 20-yard line.

The Texans had two possessions after that, but had to punt each time. The Dolphins had another chance to tie the score, but Stingley again intercepted a pass from Tagovailoa to Hill to seal the game.

CJ Stroud finished the game with 131 air yards and two touchdowns. Joe Mixon only ran for 23 yards.

Tagovailoa fumbled a ball and was intercepted three times. He threw for 196 yards.

Lamar Jackson

Lamar Jackson matched his career-high with five touchdown passes and the Baltimore Ravens defeated the New York Giants 35-14 on Sunday.

Jackson connected with Rashod Bateman for touchdowns of 49 and 20 yards after allowing Mark Andrews to open the scoring with a 13-yard aerial play. He also found Devontez Walker and Justice Hill for majors.

The quarterback finished the game with 21 completions on 25 attempts for 290 yards. He has 34 touchdown passes this season.

The Ravens (9-5) were back on the field after their bye week and moved closer to a spot in the postseason tournament. Against the Giants, they totaled 445 yards of offensive gains.

Devin Singletary scored a rushing touchdown for the Giants, while rookie Malik Nabers caught a 23-yard touchdown pass from Tim Boyle. The latter replaced Tommy DeVito, who suffered a concussion, towards the end of the first quarter.

Boyle completed 12 of 24 passes for 123 yards and one interception.

It was a ninth straight loss for the Giants, who tied a mark of mediocrity in team history.
