MADRID, December 15. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Spanish women’s football team will know their opponents in the Euro 2025 group stage during a draw scheduled for this Monday at 6:00 p.m. This draw will take place at the Swiss Tech Convention Center in Lausanne, Switzerland, for a tournament that will take place from July 2 to 27, 2025.
The 15 teams – excluding the host nation, which will automatically occupy first place in Group A – will be divided into four pots, with the world champions sharing the top hat alongside Germany and France. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the knockout stages.
As part of the drawing procedure, teams from Pot 1 will occupy the initial positions in the four groups and will be the first to be drawn, accompanied by one team from each of the remaining hats.
Former Arsenal striker and England international Ian Wright and Swiss sports presenter Annette Fetscherin will host the draw, with the assistance of a group of players who have represented their countries at both the men’s and women’s European Championships: Spanish player Vero Boquete, Italian Leonardo Bonucci, Swiss stars Lara Dickenmann and Xherdan Shaqiri, German Sami Khedira, English Jill Scott, Swedish Caroline Seger, and Frenchman Raphaël Varane.
